Hello friends! Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me. From a very young age I always wanted to be a hairstylist. I remember cutting my bangs and looking in the mirror and saying “I could do this for a living!” At the tender age of 19 I left my small town of Marblehead, Ma and moved to NYC. I was fortunate enough to live in Greenwich Village and attend the Aveda Institute of New York. At this school not only did I learn the basics to pass my state board exam but I learned what it is like to really create an amazing experience for a client when they sit in my chair.
After graduating, I came back to Massachusetts and continued my education with Aveda. A few times a year I take advanced education classes on the latest trends for color and cut. When a guest sits in my chair, they can fully relax by enjoying a warm cup of tea, followed by either a head and shoulder massage with a haircut, or hand massage with color.
Throughout the years of experience, I learned that my expertise is coloring and applying extensions. What I take pride in the most is that I can make any highlight look like it has grown straight out of your head and have a completely natural look. Applying extensions is instant gratification for me. There is nothing like taking someone’s short fine hair and turning it into long luscious locks. The look on any clients face after a full set of extensions is priceless. And last but not least the latest hair color trend is balayage. With balayage a client can have gorgeous face framing pieces without changing the base color of their hair. A client can have this “lived in look” and only need to retouch the color a few times a year.
For the few moments that I’m not thinking about hair, I am just a regular gal who enjoys watching documentaries on Netflix with my adoring husband. I may not look like a head banger, but I am a diehard metal lover and obsessed Metallica fan. I love music and I attend concerts regularly. If you are already a client of mine then you have heard of some of the trips I’ve made to NYC for festivals or rock concerts in Boston. Although, live music will have to take a back seat for the moment because I recently became a mother on March 24th, 2018 to a beautiful baby girl named Morgan.
I Enjoy meeting new people and giving them a cut and color they will truly love. Call the salon today to book a consultation so we can create a new look for you!
